Hello! My name is Justin, and I’m a web design enthusiast, avid gamer, and proud cat parent to Bubba. Born and raised in the charming landscapes of Northeast Wisconsin, I’ve spent much of my life exploring creative ventures and learning new things—both through experience and a natural curiosity.
Professional Journey
My professional journey began in retail, where I learned the art of adaptability and the power of connecting with people. I later transitioned to call centers, spending nearly a decade immersed in the ever-changing rhythm of customer interactions. My time in hospitality brought a fresh perspective, as I welcomed travelers and heard their stories from across the globe. These experiences not only sharpened my people skills but also deepened my appreciation for the unique ways we all experience the world.
After spending over 20 years in customer service, I transitioned into my current role as an AI Data Trainer. It’s a fascinating job that allows me to apply critical thinking while organizing and labeling data used to train Artificial Intelligence. I love the freedom and flexibility it offers, as well as the opportunity to make an impact in a cutting-edge field. Earlier in my career, I dabbled in unique roles like making hand-squeezed lemonade and funnel cakes at fairgrounds. While I wasn’t a carny (just a vendor!), the experience gave me an appreciation for hard work and connecting with people.
These varied experiences have taught me the value of adaptability, a skill that continues to shape my approach to life and work.
Personal Interests
When I’m not working, I enjoy immersing myself in video games, hanging out with Bubba, or reading a good book. I’m a big fan of the Ender series, love rewatching The Big Lebowski, and have recently been drawn to alternative rock music. Writing on my blog is my way of processing life, connecting with others, and sharing a few laughs along the way. Bubba, my tuxedo-clad feline sidekick, is always nearby, ready to pounce on the keyboard or snooze on a lap.
Whether I’m unwinding with a game or reflecting through writing, I’m always looking for ways to stay creative and engaged.
